FAQ's
How much is therapy?
$150 for 50 minute sessions. Please ask about sliding fee scale options if needed. If additional time is needed for family sessions, a prorated amount for 15 minute increments will be applied.
Do you take insurance?
Currently I take Kaiser Permanente Insurance, or I am an out of network provider.
Depending on your current health insurance provider, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.
If you are wanting to utilize your insurance benefits, your current plan may offer partial reimbursement for an out-of-network provider.
I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits and coverage:
Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
*I require all clients to have a card on file for copays, late cancelled/no show appointment fees, and any medical insurance lapse that may occur while receiving services.
What do you accept for types of payment?
I accept cash, check and all major credit cards as forms of payment.
How long and how often do we see each other?
Sessions are scheduled for 50 minutes. I suggest that we begin with meeting for weekly sessions initially, and then dropping to bi-weekly as it feels appropriate for you. This is based on you gaining confidence in using skills, and having more time in between sessions to practice skills. I aim for this to be a continued conversation based on your current overall needs.
What is your cancellation policy?
I understand that things can come up. I do ask that you reschedule or cancel your session 24 hours in advance in order to avoid being responsible for the full session rate. All Kaiser clients are responsible for a fee of $75 for any late cancel or no show appointments.
*Due to the high need for after school/work hours if you cancel/no show an evening appointment with less than 24 hours notice you may risk losing your consistent spot during those hours.
Do you provide telehealth or in-person sessions?
I'm providing services both in-person and remotely through a HIPPA compliant telehealth platform.
